PRODUXA Premium Super Gloss & Ultra Hydrophobic Shine Spray Review
Sometimes, a car wash simply isn’t enough to get your car clean and sparkly. That is where a good polish comes in. Polishing your vehicle doesn’t only make your car look nice and new. It also enhances the finish, protects against dirt, and ultimately extends your vehicle’s paintwork.
As I was looking to invest in some new polish/shine spray for my truck, I came across PRODUXA Premium Super Gloss & Ultra Hydrophobic Shine Spray. This product was advertised as, “a revolutionary paint polish and sealer is a great multi-surface top coat for cars, boats, and even bicycles.” It sounded like a great product that I definitely wanted to try on my vehicle, so I decided to order a couple of bottles.
After doing some product comparisons on the internet, I found PRODUXA’s premium super gloss and ultra hydrophobic shine spray to be a bit pricier than the other standard polishes.
I simply tapped a few taps online, and PRODUXA had their product shipped to me the next day.
At first glance, I found PRODUXA’s packaging to be fairly lackluster. I would have expected something more fancy or bold even.
The polish came in white plastic spray bottles. It was nothing fancy. Just like what your typical Windex or everyday, multi-purpose cleaner would normally be packaged in.
With my first impressions done with, PRODUXA Premium Super Gloss & Ultra Hydrophobic Shine Spray actually did its job. The spray bottles provided a clean and easy way to apply the polish for a good shine on my vehicle.
Surprisingly, I had to apply a good chunk of the bottle to cover the entirety of my truck. For it’s price, I would have thought that one bottle would at least go through two rounds at the least.
I fully did not expect the spray bottle to be almost empty to cover just one car. However, PRODUXA isn’t to blame. Maybe I should have read up on what quantity of polish I would need to fully cover the surface area of my truck.
Moving on, after the easy application, the shine on PRODUXA’s polish looked great. My truckle sparkled and speckled like its glory days. My truck shined, and looked years younger even. The polish definitely did its job. After full application, the results were great.
The minor scratches and imperfections on my truck were hardly noticeable. PRODUXA’s premium gloss spray really smoothed and flattened many minor imperfections on my paint job. The product really made the minor blemishes and deformities go undetected.
From the before and after pictures, there were noticeable differences.
However, being skeptical of hydrophobic car care products, I was uncertain of my initial purchase of PRODUXA’s spray bottles. The polish’s hydrophobic qualities are basically the sole reason why this product is marked at such a higher price point than their competitors’ rates. This element is supposed to protect a vehicle against rain and other wet compounds. This not only keeps your car cleaner longer, but it also helps maintain your vehicle’s paint-life and overall appearance.
Any minor scratches, imperfections, spots, or oxidized areas on my vehicle were instantly polished over. Those imperfections were hardly visible any more.
My truck truly even sparkled at night time! It was an easy installation, and the spray nozzles on the bottle helped the product apply on the truck evenly and messy free. My first impressions was that my car looked like it just went through a nice, hot shower.
Car wax and polish are meant to clean and improve the look of an automobile’s finish. However, wax acts as a shield for your car against debris and dirt. Polish is supposed to sustain your car’s “car wash” feeling for an extended period of time. This means the longer the wax and polish can stay on your car, the longer your car looks new and the longer your car is protected. So, overall, a good car wax and polish can really extend the look and paint life of your car.
The bottles are advertised as lasting 5-6 months, however that was not the case in my experience. After applying an entire bottle onto my truck, the shine came to a stale at normal usage about a week after my first application. I thought that with PRODUXA’s higher price point, compared to other competitors’ polish prices, the product would have more than one use per bottle and last longer than just simply for a week.
To clarify, I did drive around in the wet rain during the week I reviewed the car polish. On the other hand, a quality car polish/wax would have been able to withstand the light rain. I fully expected PRODUXA’s premium super gloss to still be on my paint job, protecting my vehicle.
However, after a week of driving in light rain, the car was left spotty and the PRODUXA was pretty much gone. I was definitely hoping for a longer lasting shine than this, especially since the spray bottles are suppose to also act as a hydrophobic spray.
Does PRODUXA really work?
Answer: PRODUXA’s Premium Super Gloss & Hydrophobic Shine Spray really does work. It easily applies onto your vehicle’s surface and helps remove any minor surface imperfections such as: small scratches, spots, oxidation areas. PRODUXA’s product was designed to correct any paint imperfections.
Is PRODUXA any good?
Answer: In comparison to the average polish, PRODUXA bodes fairly well. It does just what a polish should do. And it definitely helps clean and touch up your vehicle’s paint job. It definitely smoothes and flattens the scratch surfaces on your vehicle, making them more difficult to notice. However, the product does not last very long per use, and the bottles probably won’t take care of more than one or two cars.
Is PRODUXA Premium made in the USA?
Answer: The founders of PRODUXA have had over 25 years of experience in the American automotive industry. Every single batch of PRODUXA’s products is made by hand in small quantities in the United States to ensure customers superior quality and consistency they can trust.
How long does PRODUXA last?
Answer: PRODUXA’s premium super gloss is advertised to last 5 to 6 months, but from my experience they last less.
What’s the difference between waxing and polishing a car?
Answer: There is a pretty substantial difference between waxing and polishing a car. Waxing a car is designed to visually enhance and protect your car’s outer surface. Waxing often leaves a vague, white residue. This residue is actually a thin, clear coat of wax that protects your car’s paint job against scratches and abrasions. Polishing a vehicle is actually designed to remove any surface imperfections such as; spotting, minor scratches, and/or oxidation. However, polishes are not made to add any level of protection to the surface of your car or even your car’s paint job.
Do you wax or polish your car first?
Answer: Car wax should be applied onto your vehicle after it gets a good wash and polish. First, wash your car to remove surface debris and junk. Then after your car dries, apply a good even coat of polish to help smoothen any minor scratches or blemishes. And lastly, you apply the finishing touch of wax to keep your car protected and clean for a longer period of time.

Answer: It is recommended you get a full detailing, the works (claying, polishing, waxing, sealing, the whole nine yards), twice a year.
